When the question was asked, “So, why church?” Eugene Peterson aptly answered, “The short answer is because the Holy Spirit formed it to be a colony of heaven in the country of death.” As Encounter Church we seek to embody human witness to and a tangible foretaste of the Jesus-inaugurated kingdom of God in this world as we help people find their way back to God as a Christ-centered church.
